If people you message aren't interested in you , does blocking them stop them coming up in your searches or is there a better way ?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Yes, but it doesn't stop them appearing on the fora. You just have to ignore them here.

On a side note to this I received an incredible message from a fella here when I was only on a few weeks. I was kinda in the middle of doing something so put the phone down with full intention of re-reading and responding shortly. He on the other hand obviously thought my lack of an immediate response meant I wasn't interested. When I eventually sat down to read the message again and respond he had blocked me.

That's normal or thrones that block on the middle of a conversation.

Damn that really sucks, I can't imagine being so impatient. It was his loss anyway.

Why is it his loss? Surely it’s both their losses as they were both interested?

He just followed fab etiquette. No reply = not interested. So he blocked to not to bother her anymore.

Sounds like a loss all around to me

Block them or they block you but they still can wink

I thought blocking meant everything apart from seeing the forum messages?

I never new they could wink you I thought if you blocked the only thing you can see is their forum comments

I was winked by someone but when I clicked to look at profile i got the blocked message come up

I must have blocked as why would someone block me but then wink? But then I do attract the crazies lol

Wait so just because someone doesn’t reply to you quickly you’re supposed to block them? I don’t see the point because at a later date say they come across your profile and wish to connect. Why close a door when there’s been no harm? I’d only close it if things were abusive or inappropriate. Just my thoughts though

They CAN contact you via the forum BUT they are not supposed to .......

Weird cos most of the time I don't think people know they are blocked as no one tells them .

We've had someone we meet in a club block us after being fab friends. We didn't immediately reply to a message he sent so blocked us. He denied it to a mutual friend.

There are some really impatient people on fab.

Just to be clear . I was wondering if there was a way to stop people appearing in your searches when they have messaged to say they are not interested . Is blocking the only way ?

By the way I'm not impatient but if your message has been read and their not interested then just delete it. That's pretty clear your not interested.

Sado's.

Short temper. And demanders in flow.

For us, private notes work far better than a block.

Things can change, what we seek, what they seek etc etc.
