woman car driver hit my DOG WHILE ON HIS LEAD WALKING BY MY SIDE ,SHE THEN DROVE OFF ONLY GOT PARTIAL NUMBER PLATE ,MY DOG IS ALIVE WITH SHOCK N BROCKEN LEG N BRUISING ,,HOW CUD SHE NOT C A FLASHING COLLAR N REFLECTIVE COAT ,,,,

thanx everyone ,,,yes we was on the kerb ,,had my other 2 dogs with me also,,,,,i got slight bruising on hip from the car--- the car wheel went over my dogs hip n leg ,as he was slightly ahead of me ,,,,only got first 4digits of number plate ,,,

i was ran ova on a road bike a few months ago by a hit and run .. a passerby took down the registration plate fortunately

depends how much of the number plate u have .. if u know the make and model of the car and the colour u may be able to piece it together .. also check out if there is any cctv cameras in the area that may hold the info .. best of luck

scrote, any cctv nearby? if you got a description of the car and a partial plate the Police may have a chance..

would report it in any case..

Omg how awful for yourself and your dog!! Hope your dog makes a speedy recovery, have you reported it to the police? As others have said if you know the make and model of the vehicle they may be able to track it down with a partial number plate

Is it not against the law to hit a dog and drive off? It could of been you she hit and still driven off!

Had my mares back end clipped a few years back.

I didn't realise because as the van came by our side it sounded as if he had gone over a bump and the tools in the back jumped.

My mare also jumped but i thought it was because of the sound of the tools.

After a few minutes she suddenly went lame i jumped off and she had blood pouring down her leg. By which time the van had long gone.

I agree that what they did in not stopping was disgusting, providing they knew it had happened, but i dont think their sobriety should be called into question with absolutely no evidence.

i do know where ur coming from but as a person who has been in a hit and run scenario at 11.30 am by a car on a 2011 plate .. u do wonder why they just didnt stop and check out .. are u alive ?? are u ok ?? coz presumably they have insurance .. are sobre .. drug free ?? have a licence ?? if all these things were in place then why not stop ??? the car they are driving suggests they arent in financial dire staights so it shudnt be a problem with insurance and such like

use google street_iew and check for any buildings that may have cctv cameras.

the police may want to look at them as a crime has been committed.

google can be outdated as things change but letting the police know that cameras are in the area and they should check it out.

thanx 4 the advice on reporting incident ,,car was estate type ,kyo7 vry dark blue or poss black----- female driver ,,the girl following the car stopped 2 give assistance had followed the car 4 approx 10mins prior 2 my dog being hit ,,the girl told me the car had been weaving as if under influence of substance or lack of sleep ,,,accident happend at 4--50pm ,,,

we was all wearing reflective jackets n the three dogs flashing collars ,,i will check out 2 c if cctv is in opperation 4 that area as it was close by a doctors surgery ,,many thank u 4 the kind thorts n regards ,,i did have 2 blow in the dogs mouth 2 make him breath ,the vet sed that was due 2 shock ,,,,

i hope urselfs n animals have made speedy recoverys as it is the most horrid thing 2 happen ,,,,,,
