I find dabbing them with aftershave works better and cheaper than any cream. Just use any cheap stuff.

My bloody gp won't give me the tablets grr despite me always getting them numerous times in a year whether I'm sick or not..

I tend to be affected quite a few times a year - especially if I’m busy/stressed. I take Lynsine once a day which may/may not have an affect. I have find that if my lifestyle is better - regular sleep, drink lots of water, less alcohol then I tend not to get them - and if I do they are not as bad and only hang around for a week I total (as opposed to 2-3).

If you’re getting them a lot you may want to consider taking a b complex supplement and possibly an iron supplement too as deficiency in these can be a trigger. Probably a good idea if you can persuade gp to test for anaemia as that can have other repercussions too though I know that’s hard to do

It works for me, but only if you use it early enough, at the tingle stage. Leave it too late and it doesn't seem effective.

I take naproxen daily but the other tablets I will def look into

Depends on how far on your lips they are?

I have occasional flair ups on my chin, and use a very small, and I mean almost nothing at all, of after shave, or cologne.

This causes the area to dry up, thus putting the offending article into sleep mode for a few weeks.

It likes to live in moist areas, but I'm sure you already know this.
