My favourite was Dave Allan, rip. He was brilliant and not scared to upset the church!!! I also loved Bob Monkhouse, he was an absolute genius and very under rated.

For fun these days you can't beat Michael McIntyre.

by the big field

I prefer the ones that tread close to the edge- so Frankie Boyle, Gary Delaney, The great and much needed now Bill Hicks...along with a few left field ones like Rich Hall & Bill Bailey.

Did see Kevin Bridges several years ago and laughed like an ejit half the night

None of the modern " alternative" comics for us as the alternative is that they just aren't funny.

Bob Monkhouse, old school genius without the backlash for me.

Too many to name one favourite.

Old timers would be

Richard Pryor

Bill hicks

George carlin

Robin Williams. His golf joke is best ever.

Billy connelly was class at telling a story in a very funny way

More recently

Leo kearse

Glen wool

Andrew Lawrence

Sean lock

Lee Evans

Ricky garveas

Frankie Boyle and Jim Jeffrey's before they went all left wing politics

You can bear McIntyre with a great big fucking stick, then beat him with a baseball bat and bury him in a shallow grave and he still won't be funny!

Mick miller last laugh in Vegas (it was on ITV a couple of years ago) killed it, brilliant.

Morecambe and wise for set peices

Tommy Cooper class act

Jack Benny legend

Jerry Seinfeld still got it for one liners

Mel Brookes

Eric Sykes my comedy god but Barry Cryer comes a very close 2nd for the stuff he wrote for other comedians (Morecambe n Wise, Kenny Everett etc)

Saw Bob Monkhouse live, never liked his game shows but live fecking hell he was good, got quite a tale about meeting him too but dare not post on here.

Bob Newhart class act

I will have missed loads but if you read this far, thank you

"He will never sell any ice-creams going at that speed" if you know you know x

You serious?

Prior told jokes with connotations. That is seen as right wing today

Hicks and carlin would be deemed right wing today with their verging on conspiracy views. Robin Williams was not political.

Do u know who leo kearse, Andrew Lawrence and Glen wool are? All 3 are constantly cancelled by lefty extremists who find offence in everything. Lee Evans not political.

Sean lock again. Dry dark Sarcasm not political.

Ricky again too offensive to be a lefty snowflake.

Can u please please explain how not one of these comedians are not left wing.
