North West

I'm on an adventure at the moment. Yesterday, I tootled, all by my little self, in my little red wheelchair from:

My house to Manchester Airport (car)

Manchester Airport to Schiphol (plane)

Schiphol to Madrid Barajas (plane)

Madrid Barajas to Madrid Atocha Station (bus)

Madrid Atocha to Toledo Station (high speed train)

Toledo Station to my hotel (taxi)

Toledo is hilly. Very hilly. And medieval. VERY medieval. The streets are mainly cobbled. Cobbled and hilly - a wheelchair user's worst nightmare

I grew muscles where I didn't know I had them yesterday evening and reluctantly had to accept help from others on the same language course.

Accessibility of things here is a bit sketchy but I have a wonderfully accessible hotel room with a stonking breakfast plus nice folk and food etc.

What adventures have you been on recently or will you be going on soon?

I had a mini adventure at the weekend and we are having one in a couple of weeks. Not out of the the country but still a lot of fun.

Awesome. I know plenty of people who'd struggle to do that on foot!

You'll be fine in Toledo. Going downhill anyway. Just get a taxi if you need to go uphill.

Interesting fact about Toledo.

They have a baseball team called the Mudhens.

A

*shit. Wrong Toledo.

I've just made it back to my hotel. I may or may not be under the influence of vino blanco and may or may not have danced the night away. It's a shame that the Dads I encountered tonight were a) attached and b) not as attractive as I'd like

They were fun to dance with though. I have class in less than 6hrs. I might regret things in the morning

For a second there I was thinking you were in Toledo, Ohio and not Toledo, Spain.
