Good morning all, how are you today?

I’m doing ok. Finally got the assignment from hell handed in, I thought it would be inmediate relief but it did take me a day or so to feel it. I’ve got one last one to do but it shouldn’t be the monumentous task that one was. My anxiety has been mostly low level for the past few days but I can hear it humming quietly inside this morning, I felt quite panicky over the weekend when in a very crowded place and I’ve felt that jumping sensation inside a few times so I’m definitely on edge. I had a lovely weekend away with my husband for our 20th anniversary and it was nice just to do nothing and eat and drink too much! Aiming to have a dry spell alcohol wise now and to try and eat better and exercise, although I’m unsure how I’ll find that since I’m a comfort eater and my health anxiety can interfere with any exercise plans.

Anyway, enough about me, that felt like an essay in itself!

How are you feeling today? x

I noticed the typo in the heading as I hit send. That’ll teach me for not reading over it when I haven’t been awake long! x

I’m feeling pretty anxious right now. I have work trips this month to Frankfurt, Zwolle, Riga and Tallinn and everywhere I look there are reports if chaos and travel disruptions. Adding that to the emotional challenges of having BPD and I’m not exactly great to be around right now.

I was literally about to start a thread with the same idea

I’m returning to work today for the first time in a month. I was off work as I was travelling. I have the holiday blues and not looking forward to the pile of work I’m going back to… but I am ok mentally. So many good memories from my travelling to keep me smiling and planning my next holiday now haha!

How are you OP?x

Hope everyone is ok and be kind to one another x

Sorry to hear that, that’s the kind of thing that would make me anxious too, I like to know exactly what to expect in a situation so I find unknown is very triggering. BPD can be debilitating too so I’m not surprised you’re struggling. Sending love x

Hello! I think it’s nice to give the space for people to check-in if they want to, this is a regular thread I’ve been posting on a Monday since last year (with a few weeks break when I wasn’t doing too well), everybody’s welcome here

Sorry to hear you’re returning to work but glad you’re in a good place mentally x

Hi OP

Glad your anxiety levels have lessened.. keep up with the exercise & healthy eating but don’t beat yourself up if you need to comfort eat should your anxiety flare up… your body is pretty good at telling you what you need.

I had a good week last week, lots of exercise & healthy eating and got offered a new job which has massively helped with the stress levels…hit the wine a bit too much on Sat but haven’t allowed it to derail me.

This week has started well so far, lots of lovely fab plans in place for the next couple of weeks and interactions with some great people which certainly lifts the spirits…

The plan is to continue with the walking & gym & positive mindset..

Hope you all have a good week. Xx

Congrats again on the assignment

As for me, a bit meh still.

There's a light at the end of the work tunnel, that will definitely help in some aspects. In other aspects, being back home will give me another problem that I'm not looking forward to at all.

It's my birthday soon too and I'm not really keen on having the family round, not in the mood. Not sure which is going to be harder though, explaining to everyone I want to be on my own or just having everyone round and carrying on as normal.

But, an old "friend" has been in touch and suggested we catch up. How bad can that be

Congrats on the assignment! And I really cannot blame you with the crowds!

My issues:

Considering I got my first death threat last night. I am doing better than I thought I might.

I think I may be overly combative, even more so than usual that is as a means to try and regain control.

But yeah, I am simultaneously not ok, but could be worse.

Hey everyone, congrats on all the achievements!

I’ve had to take some time off work due to a physical injury and it’s playing with my insecurity and anxiety.

However, I managed to meet with current fwb last week which was great as I hadn’t seen him for two weeks and had missed our time together.

Sending good vibes to all x

That’s all really positive to hear! I’m glad things are going well for you

Anxiety has actually kicked my arse this evening and interfered with plans I had so I’m in bed feeling sorry for myself. Therapy tomorrow though

Thanks.

I'm keeping myself grounded on all aspects. If anything goes well it's a bonus then

Does anyone else on here self sabotage…. I’m in a good place but…. I struggle to take compliments and truly feel worthy

Years of being told I’m not quite good enough never being complimented…

So now when I get attention which is genuine I almost find it hard to believe and play it down..

My photos show me in almost a false self confidence… I know I look ok but don’t quite believe it…

Absolutely and for the same reasons. People introject their values onto us, usually when we’re young, and they end up governing how we see ourselves too. I don’t really have advice other than therapy I’m afraid xx

Thank you… I’ve had therapy over the years for various issues in my childhood… just not this one but that makes sense!

Not all that North of North London

I'm doing okay. After 4 months off work, 3 suicide attempts and a complete breakdown, it turns out resigning from my job and escaping a toxic bullying environment is the single best thing I could do for my mental health
