I love a silent disco.

Have you been to one? What did you think of it?

I have been to a few and love them. I've been to one at the natural history museum which was amazing, My favorite was a Thames riverboat silent disco.

Yes, first went to one many years ago at a festival. Was so much fun!

We have our own silent disco set up now. Everyone always enjoys it.

They are really good. So all the ones I've been to there have been 3 Djs, Everyone has a headset and you can choose and switch between which dj and music style you listen to. They are also really good because once you take the headphones off there's no music so you can have a break and a chat.

The best part is taking off the headphones are watching everyone stomp and sing loud.

I too enjoyed the ability to take the headphones off to talk and it was amusing to look around the silent room at people dancing. I found it a little jarring though to be able to listen to different things because you'd be dancing to a different rhythm to your friends .

Absolutely terrible, worked at a festival and it was louder than the main stage with everyone singing out of tune.

Do you listen to the same music or everyone listens to something else? If it's the latter, does it still feel like a shared experience?

I've never been to one, I think I'd feel too self-conscious! I love dancing, but with other people to songs we're all enjoying at the same time.

I used to go to an one in Lagos on a rooftop bbq/bar . It was great with friends we could stop eat, drink, chat then carry on dancing - best of both worlds clubbing and dining /drinking in the same venue with friends where you can hear each other speak

There are normally 3 different options, so no you don't have to listen to the same music.

I love it because you can control the volume and take the headphones off if it's too much.

Not been to a silent disco, but as a slight variation to the theme I used to help an old school friend who did mobile discos. One we did was for the local deaf society. A friend who was partially deaf told us they felt the vibrations of the beat through the floor

Have run them with 1 DJ. Connected my phone to the 2nd feed, confused a lot of people!

Regarding the deaf discos - last year at Pride we had signers alongside the acts all day. Absolute blast - top people and so energetic!

all loved up

I've never been to one but frequently hold my own kinda one late at night when I'm dancing around to loud music on my headphones while doing the housework but don't want to wake the baby etc...

My teenage daughter thinks it's hilarious to sneak up on me
