I know its not swinging related but does anybody on here have crohns disease because I've just been diagnosed and all the internet seem all gloom and doom about it.

I do know someone with this and he gets through life pretty well without it affecting him to much. Maybe join a support group and get some proper answers of someone in the know .

My mums had it for 5 years now and she lives life as normal. It's difficult at the start but it doesn't stop you living a normal life.

i know a couple of people who have this, im sure you will get lots of information from your hospital about special diets and what will help the inflamation, they did need a stoma but this was later removed. good luck with your treatment, and lots of hugs.

Best to avoid internet research too much as it can lead to a lot of misinformation and unnecessary worrying

That said I always look online lol

Do push for info from your doc though. I DoD for,my diabetes and got sent on a great course about it.

Ive stopped looking at the internet now and just going to wait to see the specialist at the hospital.

See the specialists, ask them the questions, listen to them.

Was that a DESMOND course. Well worth it - found out a lot on mine.

If you are worried ask your doc rather than consume internet advice. I would say though stress worrying about it could be more of a worry than crohns right now. Get a shag, chill and hopefully all will be well.
