Met Johnny Walker a few times when he lived in the same village as my sister, really nice guy, Always try to listen to his Sounds of the 70s show on Sunday afternoons.

How long has he been doing it? I don't listen to the radio so I don't know how I remember this unless my parents had the radio on years ago.

Awww, I used to listen to him on Radio One on the coach that used to take me home from school in the 80s, not such a regular listener on his Radio 2 show as I’ve mostly been working when it’s been on, but the format and style is still very similar to what it was all those years ago, minus the wacky characters.

A sad day for sure, but plenty of old shows on Mixcloud to listen again to for a Steve fix if anyone misses him!
