I get where the OP is coming from. So many times on here I've fitted someone's choices - right age, right interests, right location - on to just get ignored (a no thanks every once and while be nice).

Now I'm fast approaching 59 I've the added not of being too old, even for women my age.

I come on for the forums mainly now. Sometimes there are brief conversations with someone off the forum but rarely. Not actively looking, I like the occasional pic and send the odd wink or two. Not used the browse section in months.

Best way is to treat this (and many other things in life) with no expectations. Being positive about yourself and life (I know it is challenging at the moment for many) and an upbeat profile definitely can help attract people.

Age, Height, photos etc... may superficially look like it is a good fit but sometimes we think there is a fit while the other person really does not see that.

I hear what your saying, but at the same time though, just fitting someone's choices dosnt mean you're a match to them. Try not to take it personally especially when you feel your ignored. In the F&Q its quite clear that no reply just means no thanks. I personally dont reply to messages for lots of reasons, mainly i dont feel i need to explain myself every time. i dont have time to respond to all, and i dont want to either. When I do its rare thats the end of it but just opens up to the "why not" "but but but" or a shitty message because you said no. Plus who really wants to open a inbox full of "no thanks" messages?
