Regardless of your culinary skills or tastes, you have to agree the ready meal is a frikkin' godsend.

For the blokie on his own thus is just so good!!!

Nothing wrong with a ready meal, in my humble opinion. Better than resorting to a take away

I prefer a take away than a ready meal.

I like the ready meal's for when Im stuck for time, lunch in work for eg.

£1.50 for a Chicken Jalfrezi (Birds eye), 10 mins in the microwave, 10 mins later fully consumed and Im slightly warmed up, but more often than not still hungry.

I always have a few ready meals in the freezer for titch .... he is happy to bung one in the microwave or oven if I'm not there to feed him, or if he wants a hot supper.

(he needs to eat every 20 mins I think)

Mrs and I have lost nearly 2 stone each, simply by *just* eating ready meals. They're the ideal calorie count.

As a rule people just eat too much, it's quite an eye opener how we get by with what appear to be such small portions.

you are not the only one s who I've heard of loosing weight on them. They aren't overs sized portions and usually have cal figures on them so you know what you have eaten. So far from bad for you I think.

Brighton - even Hove!

I'm the opposite. I always feel I could eat two ready meals. And pudding.

My idea of a ready meal is beans on toast anything other than that I can cook a proper meal quicker than a ready meal and I know what goes into my food aswell as love and attention

You must stir those beans lovingly, caressing them and preparing their bedding of hot buttered toast.

Blimey...

Never heard of skinheads on a raft being considered as a loving matter...

Each, it would appear, to their own

Can't stand ready meals, or anything that's cooked in a microwave. Give me proper food any day!

Put some butter in them and crack black pepper before heating them beans

When I knew I was going into hospital and wouldn't be up for cooking afterwards I made and froze some things and stashed ready meals for my son.

I bought all his favourites and he and his friends cleared me out of them fairly quickly, the meals I lovingly prepared were left.

Bleurgh! Hate them - they taste of chemicals and too much salt.
