Seeing as we are having a film and TV kinda day on the forums, what box sets do you enjoy - be them a TV series or films in a series.

TV wise, I have the 3 series of Band of Gold and 2 series of Widows (showing my age now) and all the Nurse Jackies that have been released to date (it pays to have friends in the US).

I also loved the Sopranos and dare I say it, even Sex and the City.

If you haven't seen it, check out a HBO series called Angels in America - it is awesome !

Was Lost for Words the one with her with Alzheimers and Pete Postlethwaite as her son??? If so, watched that down my mam's a coupla months ago and needed industrial sized box of tissues for the tears and snot (I know, I'll never get another meet now, so not a good mental image for everyone...)

I once took a week off work and watching all 8 seasons (and redemption!) back to back!!

Yup that's the one

and if you haven't seen the other 2, buy a multi pack of industrial sized tissues.

They are both monologues delievered straight to the camera. Part of Alan Bennetts Talking Heads Series.

In the telegram one she plays an old lady waiting for her telegram from the queen and talks about her life and life in the care home.

I snivelled from about 30 seconds in and for about a week after
