How else will channels make money if not?? If not they will need to start charging for content.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

"How else will channels make money if not?? If not they will need to start charging for content. "

1. Having less management layers delivering neither content nor strategy.

2. Don't overpay for "talent"

3. Make quality programmes that can be sold to other markets

They have to pay their bills somehow. Terrestrial channels are to a shot-load more completion now than they were 20 years ago. It's a totally different environment from when the current rules were set up.

TV companies know that people will vote with their remotes if they have too many adverts. There will be some level of self-regulation.

What good are adverts if nobody tunes in to watch them.
