"Birmingham or Bristol - state your preference, and why?" I've lived in both, can see pros and cons for either to be honest. I liked Bristol as it's got close connections to sea destinations as someone has already mentioned, but also a really good atmosphere I found around the place and night life. Driving is a bit of a nightmare as large parts of the housing don't have drives with narrow streets too, but well connected for trains and buses etc. I'm not really going to state too much of my bias of why Birmingham is such a great city but I've always felt like it's a 'proper city' with plenty of rural open spaces in the surrounding areas and things to do. I'm a history boffin and Birmingham is the birthplace of the industrial revolution, amongst medical sciences and trade so you can't struggle to find interesting stuff. They're both similar. | |||
