It did for me. Though in fairness my sex drive didn't really drop off that much (and I don't have testosterone in my treatment, so I guess it affects every woman differently).

Er, I don't have testosterone & mine increased dramatically. It really does depend on the person.

And I imagine her mental state affects the results, too. If you're hot & sweaty, itchy, crying, sleepless, gaining weight around the middle, etc it kinda affects you wanting to get intimate.

If HRT relieved those symptoms, you're more likely to feel comfortable enough to have sex. Just a thought.

Is that all you think your wife is worth? Her sex drive?

What did the person prescribing it say? Often if the unpleasant symptoms its designed to treat improve she might find she has an improved sex drive.

She’s always cold due to poor circulation she has to take viagra every day for it was good at beginning but I think taking it all the time has reduced the feeling

Does Viagra contain testosterone?

No, but it's a vasodilator and so might increase blood flow more widely than just in the genital region (which is what it's licensed for)

Of course I care about her well being. I was just asking a question. For the negative comments away and boil a bunny…..

That’s obviously impossible to say! Everyone’s different and people react to the different menopause medication differently.

How do you know the lack of sex is due to the menopause?

She shagged a lot before. Hot at night a bit cranky. Periods starting going. All in the last couple of years. About to start HRT. Also good for long term brain health. Dementia for what I have read.

Testosterone for women isn’t licensed for women as an aid for the menopause in Britain, but apparently a lot of women need it. I was on a menopause group on FB and the all swore by it, a little too much for my liking so I left the page, but there’s other hormones that can cause loss of libido, testosterone is only one. Also magnesium could help to balance the body out.

A niece of mine got testosterone when she was a teen to cure her terrible acne as she had a low level of it

I take prescribed testosterone although I had no issues with my sex drive in the first place. For me it’s been the best thing ever in that I lost over 2 stone within a few months of taking it and my energy and concentration levels are far higher.

Don’t go in to it lightly though as it’s made me far less tolerable and I’ve now an insatiable, obsessive sex drive.

HRT isn't really prescribed to increase sex drive. It's to help women through other symptoms such as vulval dryness which isn't just an aid to entry but primarily to prevent discomfort , cracking , bleeding etc ...

HRT never made me hornier but mine is a very small dose - I take it for other reasons.
