"The leader of any political position, should be elected based on competence and the democratic process, not gender, and certainly not because ‘we haven’t tried that yet.’ " Yeah they never seem to be to open to trying me despite that rhetoric all I asked for was complete obedience for 100 years.

"The leader of any political position, should be elected based on competence and the democratic process, not gender, and certainly not because ‘we haven’t tried that yet.’ " Well the Labour Party are screwed then , the trade unions control it, they always choose a communist leader they can bully or fully supports them striking all the time. They learned that when they elect credible leaders like Tony Blair , who can make some progress, they invariably will fall out with communists , so they won’t be doing that again. RIP Labour Party

Labour has never had a communist leader, any left wing leaders have been socialist, which is an entirely different concept. Tony Blair, and by extension Keif Starmer, aren't progressive as they only wanted to maintain the status quo that kept power and wealth in the hands of the wealthy and political elite, so essentially red tories.

But this thread is about the best person for the job .

His deluded foreign policy and some social views is the only thing that really came close to being a full on Red.Even then only of a very western faction of communism.

"The problem with "best fit the job" is the long documented bias, which values women less than men even with the same qualifications. It has gotten better in recent years but is still a major issue" Yep. The book "Invisible Women" blew my mind Mrs TMN x
