This is not a politics thread.

Harriet Harmen says it is an indictment that the Labour party has never had a female leader and the Tories have had two female Prime Ministers. The next Labour leader should be a woman. Surely it's the best person for the job. They tried this old trope with the London Chief of Police and that did not end well. Tom is a feminist and welcomes any female to succeed in business, politics, family and sport. But Harman is off the mark here

Yeah they never seem to be to open to trying me despite that rhetoric all I asked for was complete obedience for 100 years.

100% the best person for the job. I've seen so many places where standards have declined because staff are being hired to "tick boxes" rather on their merit or work ethic.

Well the Labour Party are screwed then , the trade unions control it, they always choose a communist leader they can bully or fully supports them striking all the time.

They learned that when they elect credible leaders like Tony Blair , who can make some progress, they invariably will fall out with communists , so they won’t be doing that again.

You know that Labour was set up to actually provide the more numerous working class with representation, right? Labour has never had a communist leader, any left wing leaders have been socialist, which is an entirely different concept. Tony Blair, and by extension Keif Starmer, aren't progressive as they only wanted to maintain the status quo that kept power and wealth in the hands of the wealthy and political elite, so essentially red tories.

Surely Jeremy 'we won the debate but not the election' Corbyn was the closest that we have had to a Red Under the Bed. And I am not talking about a red headed woman ...

Yeah he was the closest but was by no stretch a communist or even a socialist really.

His deluded foreign policy and some social views is the only thing that really came close to being a full on Red.Even then only of a very western faction of communism.
