That’s an easy fix. Make yourself a Sunday. Sorted.

I do not hate anything about being single.

I do sometimes regret that I did not make more effort to find a partner during my 46 years as a singleton.

I have however benefitted from a 40 year ongoing purely platonic friendship which has had its moments, one of which was a drink fuelled party which resulted in the birth of my daughter and subsequently 3 gorgeous grandkids.

The freedom of being able to do your own thing in your own home is great but old age living alone throws up its challenges.

It will remain that way until I meet my maker.

The only drawback about being single is that I have to make a special effort to arrange sexual liaisons rather than sex being available, on tap, to coin a phrase.

All relationships will eventually turn sour, in some respect, although with the good ones, that process can take decades.

Singlehood facilitates freedom of thought and action, especially new and interesting partners, no matter how long their tenure!

Wow I'm glad I'm not your partner/unpaid housekeepee All you want is someone to cook n clean for you and after that you expect them to pay half the bills. I bet you also want sex on deman.

If you can't cope with the bills get a smaller property. There's a launderet down the street it takes an hour to wash n dry. You can Evan nip in the pub while it's doing or grab a take away. Plus launderets are a good place to meet other single ppl.

I found an Asda employee, all I asked for was “do you have any clotted cream?”, and she walked off. Nothing, not even a look at me.

So I complained to management. He just said I was a single male and her actions was just a polite “no”.

Nothing at all.

I was in the Maldives earlier this year and dined alone most nights but did a fair amount people watching. Couples who were on their phone or not talking for long periods lead me to be completely happy being on my own!

Nothing I'm more happy been single. The only thing I had in my relationship was more washing, cooking and cleaning

Reigate

When you are really really poorly and there is nobody to just bring you juice/tea/soup and some medicine.

So you just have to lay on the floor in a sweaty dressing gown, have a tantrum because life is so unfair, cry a bit, then pick yourself up, get the juice and pad quietly back to crawl under the duvet . . .
