Yes, many times. I’ve had a response most times but it’s just generic stuff usually not quite specific to the content of my letter. Always letter on HOC headed paper as though that’s supposed to impress me.

Yes to several different ones, always get interesting if not agreeing responses. From one got a huge amount of help - literally stopped me from becoming homeless! Tory too!

I’ve also written to pms, chancellors and other ministers.

Would always encourage people to do so rather than silently worrying or seething. It’s good to let them know what we think and expect of them and how we feel on the topics that matter to us.

Oh yes. I like to become 'besties' with mine, especially asking, well, awkward questions.

One, I shan't name and shame, once replied with a letter so sloppily written and typed with typos and bad grammar I took my red pen and marked it Junior School English style giving them an 'F' after highlighting the myriad of errors.

I never heard back on that one LOL

Only as a result of appeals from charities, once was to protest against parking on pavements for the Guide Dogs for the Blind, can't remember the other reason.

I did write a few times to my MP when she was on the council, she was a great councillor, but sadly a pisspoor MP.
