My only knowledge on the topic is from friends, they told me that when they wore one it was fun and had upsides but as a whole was more of a nuisance than anything else.

They also said they were thinking of redoing it (it healed up)

May not be helpful but thats my knowledge on it

Go for it ! It doesn’t hurt getting it done, as someone has said after a few years you can leave it out and it won’t seal up, easily removed if the partner of choice doesn’t fancy it. No complaints from meets about mine
