As most people know im travaling.. Should i go see my spn first even tho a solicitor advised me now too. Just so i can prove to my so say 15 years down the line that i tried or just go to Devon without seeing my son.. In a complete dispute with myself here... Hmmmm

And again in english lol... "should i go and see my son in derby while im travelling even tho the solicitor said i should and say 15 year down the line i can prove to him down the line that i tried or should i just go to Devon amd do what the solicitor says?. Im not the giving up type pf person but what should i do?"

Why has your solicitor advised against it? Are there legal reasons such as injunctions in place?

It's a tough one because I can see your point about being able to say you tried but if it affects and case you have to see him more regularly then maybe not the best idea.

Assuming you've consulted a solicitor who specialises in family law, listen to them, they actually know what they're talking about.

Sound advice. Your best bet is to negotiate visiting rights through your solicitor and your ex's solicitor. Don't make to mistake of just turning up on the doorstep. That will severely predjudice your case.

a child needs a constant contact arragement, not as and when ur passing by..

if u want to see ur son then get a regular contact agreement in place first!

You chose your name on here well!

Write your son a letter instead. You don't have to send it this time if you think he won't get it. Write to him from every place you visit. Keep them and when you do get to see him and 15 years down the line you can show that he never left your thoughts.

Or, write to his mother and ask if she would be ok with you sending a postcard from every place you visit. Explain you want to see him but know that you can't right now and would like to maintain some contact whilst you are away. Only do this if there isn't an injunction in place.
