I’m learning to do the splits

I know I’m old and should know better but I’ve signed up to a 30 day splits challenge and after a week and a half, I’m making good progress. I’m a lot closer to the floor both forwards and side ways. I have no reason at all for learning this

What pointless thing are you learning at the moment?

Good luck! I didn't know there was a learning process to the splits other than spread and hope your hips and groin don't scream at you

I'm re-learning table tennis techniques after getting back into it this week

I wouldn't consider that pointless! It's good for mobility

Yeah, there’s a follow along video to do daily to make sure that you see progress and don’t hurt yourself!

I’ve never played table tennis, looks difficult

I might have to look into that just to say I can do it

You definitely need a bit of skill and good reactions. I played for the first time since school days yesterday and forgot how much it can take out of you

I'm re-learning how to do everything hands free because I now need my crutches to move even a tiny distance. How the fuck do I get myself a brew?! Stupid leg and stupid house with stupid stairs

Learning anything isn’t pointless.

It amazes me watching people that can do the splits. We will all need to see photos for proof when you do it … or it didn’t happen and all that

Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It's an RPG set in early 15th century bohemia. It's quite difficult

I am relearning illustration. Starting again with basics before moving onto digital painting.

I am also learning how to fix my car, it needs some TLC.

I started learning to hula hoop during 1st lockdown. I'm progressing to more off body tricks now, but really want a go with a fire hoop.

I borrowed a friends fire poi a few weeks ago and that was fun, but scary swinging it around your head.

Wouldn’t say it’s pointless at all, learned how to do them as part of dance training and once mastered as long as you keep up flexibility training you should be able to do them for life! Anything you want to do for yourself is never pointless

I’m learning meditation and visualisation at the moment it’s been something I’ve been practicing for a few months and it’s helped me to calm my mind and focus on one goal at a time instead of feeling overwhelmed with a busy schedule/life - a little time out for me was needed and I feel more relaxed xx

"Learning something new is never pointless, I have started yoga and it’s tough "

Ryan Giggs done yoga and played footy in his early 40s. He also thought why go out and meet women when he could look closer to home
