Green Mile is great Dances with Wolves and Shawshank are grest aswell The Bourne movies, Taken are good action ones Lord Of the Rings was good escapeism for me i think i loook like a hobbit though that maybe why

yes leon is a good film, and i like the alien films, green mile, lord of the rings (first one is best) and one from my childhood "hoppity goes to town".

i almost cried the other week when watching dumbo, the bit where mum is in the trailer and sings while dumbo swings on her trunk.havent seen it in years so was quite a watch the other day.cant beat the old uns lol.

Jeff Bridges is one of the greatest classic personalities of all time and a great actor

Coen Brothers make films like no other, better than Tarantino

And the film is just so entertaining, hilarious, touching and bizarre

The Dark Knight

I really liked the plot, special effects, humour etc. but what makes it special for me was Heath Ledger's Joker.

The Usual Suspects

Again liked a lot of things about it, but what makes it special for me is the twist at the end.

Star Wars Episode Three

I love all the Star Wars films -except Phantom Menace which I think is 'ok'- But for me episode three is the best of them.

One that most people seem to have never heard of, either cos it's German or because it's 16 hours long.

"Heimat" (Home, in German) a fictional story of a family living the real area along the Moselle called the Hunsruck, from 1919 to 1984. There have also been two sequels, also of 16+ hours in length..

Watched it at the NFT in 1985 - in ONE sitting! - and was captivated by it.

And it's the film from which Speilberg nicked the idea of the little girl in the red coat in Schindler's List too....

Yes, they've both got the same plot, but I prefer the latter as it's shot in black and white, which I think gives it a nice atmosphere.

I have seen City of Angels, but own Wings of Desire on DVD as it is by far the superior of the two - and yes, the b&w does lend a major hand in that
