I’m a youngster and I can only assume he means messaged? Like that’s how I would use it and I think he’s saying new couples get annoyed when they are messaged because they are now a couple or something?? Idk this is hard to decipher

What has been noted by many over the years is that one half of new couples all of a sudden gets a lot of interest and requests to meet alone that they didnt get whist single, instead of people giving them time to learn each other, solidify their relationship and swing together.
