Hi all,

I have just moved to Dublin from Newcastle but I can’t seem to put in a postcode that works.

Can anyone give me an example of a working postcode for the Dublin area so I can see what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Irish eircodes (post codes)don't work I've heard people say before on here but you'd be better off asking on the Irish forum to be sure.

It's an eircode postcode doesn't work in Dublin if u want your eircode type into Google your address and eircode it should come up

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Dublin has had numbered zones for a few years now.

I don't think the populace have embraced it yet, though, and as far as I know there is nothing outside Dublin

Hmm, still get the same message that it isn’t a valid postcode. I wonder what others do here?

All of the south now have eircodes which is the equivalent of postcodes. But fab hasn't updated to make them actually work if you type them in .

Don’t worry about it all, I feel like an idiot that seemingly can’t even get a postcode to work on here.

Thank you Bo, when I try anything for this area, no matter the variation, it doesn’t seem to be accepted by fab.

I will continue looking. After all, there are plenty of Irish people on the site that have a working postcode in their profile.

Thank you! That solves the first half of my problem. I can now search for local people but it’s still not happy about me changing my postcode.
