Asda go into meltdown

little house on the praire

Well ive had such an exciting afternoon. Asda had a powercut while we where in there. They where literally counting peoples items and randomly charging. The credit card machine they used was one of those old ones where you get copies. My mum was in front of me, went to pay cash and as they couldnt acccept cash, they gave her her shopping for free, then they bloody stopped it before mine went through. But the whole shop came to a standstill for about an hour.

I really need to get out more

Wow you're so lucky. I've heard of this happening but never been in a supermarket powercut. I'm jealous!!

A few months ago our local ASDA 24hr petrol station was flogging fuel at 13.9p p/l instead of £1.39. The main store was closed but the 2 card operated fuel pumps were still in action - apparently the queue was over half a mile long. Eventually the police got curious and closed the filling station.

Yes I found out the following day when it was all over and done with
