Of course we have had socials with singles and couples in the past, just last week we met with fab friends, but we have never experienced a social event, don't really know if it would be for us. What's the best and the worse thing's in your experiences about the events please.

Have a lovely day all.

Delightful Bliss

They are what you make them. If you can get up and approach people for a chat that is always best, I'm a standing up talker so tend to coast past those who are sat down all the time tbh

If you go to one regularly enough then a friendship group can also be made

We've had mostly good experiences. We chat and mix with as many people as possible. There was only one occasion where we swore we'd never return but you can't win them all. Nothing bad happened but the group didn't gel for some reason

Can't be bad just to have had one disappointing experience, sounds encouraging.

We’ve only been to one so far and it was one of the best nights out we’ve had!

A great group of people, completely relaxed! We’ve got 2 more in the pipeline and looking forward to others when they’re advertised!

We’re both really sociable anyway x

We attend a lot of socials and the only bad experience we have had was of my own making and thinking I can still drink shots and be fine ..

Everyone we have met have been friendly I’m not saying theirs no dramas as their probably is but we just aim to go and have drama free fun and to meet some lovely like minded people.

Paradise, Herts

No bad ones for me. I like them. The ones I’ve been to are literally just a drink and a laugh in a pub or venue. No different to going out with real life friends.

If you are talking about group socials I have been to 2 and both were really good experiences.

The first one I was a bit shy and quiet (I know right!) but the people were friendly and came and spoke to me and made me feel more like I belonged there.

The second one I was more myself and it was a blast! Everyone is friendly and welcoming.

Just like we have been doing already then, but just a lot more people, sounds cool.

Wirral

The socials are the best thing about fab for me. I am a fairly sociable type so do enjoy meeting lots of new people and have met some brilliant people I'd not have otherwise bumped into.

I am quite specific about what suits me - I know the sort of size I'll enjoy vs what I'll find overwhelming, what will be too formal for me, where I will fit in best.

I'd definitely say to go for it OP, if you don't like it then you always have the option of leaving early. Try a couple of different ones and see which suit you best.

Our first social was amazing

We were meeting a date at it. We danced and had a laugh. Just the best time. The tension was building and building. It was the best night ever.

Afterwards the organiser told me I was rude. I didn't move around the room socialising.

My jaw hit the floor. What had happened was all the couples who knew each other all sat at the one set of tables. The single ladies, all grouped together wondering where the single guys had gone to. No one but me and my group danced and no one talked. She couldn't blame the others who she was friends with so she blamed me.

And I didn't give a shit cos I had the best time and the rest of the night was life changing.

I love love love social events. You get out what you put in. It's brilliant of you want them to be

Chams or Socials

We love socials - the only downside is we are normally last to arrive due to T working.

They are a great way to meet new people that you might not normally meet as lots will travel to these events. We have luckily made quite a few friends too
