How do you feel about receiving compliments? I love to pay them when messaging but feel sometimes it might be perceived as being too keen too early. Is there a right time to pay a compliment and is too many considered a bit creepy?

I used to be really freaked out receiving compliments, for a long time I didn’t believe in myself. I’m getting better at it lately.

I enjoy giving compliments, which I mean when I say them, rather than saying them for any gain.

Must admit they go over my head on here. Different if I know someone or been speaking to them for a while but when you get countless “you’re stunning” “you’re beautiful” messages when you’re just showing a pair of legs it kinda doesn’t mean a lot

Not at all creepy! I’m awkward with compliments - one is enough though. It’s hard to know what to say if someone pays more than one compliment

I appreciate genuine compliments. If it's because they want something or just wanna hang out the back of me, not so much. I also hate over complimenting, like I know I'm fantastic but jesus rain it in pedro.

I’m a bit awkward receiving compliments online, can feel a bit copy/paste though I’m sure sincerely meant

On here, I think they're mostly an insincere lazy way of trying to ingratiate yourself to someone

To be honest, on here they mean fuck all.

You see guys saying the same stuff to multiple women on threads and it's just

You're really asking the wrong person.

.

Too many is quite intense regardless of how long you've known each other, so definitely don't do that when messaging someone on Fab.

I think if you're overthinking it too much, it won't come across as sincere and genuine. Say something nice if that's what you think in the moment, not because you want inside/around them and not because you want to get one back.

As others have said, on here a compliment is generally not always genuine, if it’s sincere, or someone I know then yes, I’m getting better at accepting them

Compliments make me squirm.

Never grew up with them and consequently I never know how to react to them (I tend to deflect and rely on self depreciating humour) x

I love giving compliments and only give genuine ones I really mean. I feel really awkward receiving them about, especially if it's about how I look, not that it happens very often. Luke

We usually try and pick up something from profile to compliment on in initial messages. It shows you've read the profile

I don't mind giving and receiving them, it is nice to say nice things if you mean them.

I love to give compliments to anyone

I'll comment if I like someone's clothes, hair etc

I don't get compliments often and they don't sit well
