Herts

I've had surgery a few weeks ago and feel very insecure about it, it's on my stomach and it's big 12 inches long.

Just wondering if anyone else has felt this way?

What life throws at you is part of who you are.

If people comment or say nasty things then they're not worth your time or effort.

I've never thought much about mine but my biggest I've had since I was 2 months old so I don't remember it not being there.

Hey OP,

Scars are life's tattoos, wear them with pride.

I had surgery 10 weeks ago and I have a scar right down the centre of my entire torso and across my entire pelvis from hip to hip. It's rather bright and obvious looking atm but I bloody love it and what it represents to me.

NBVN x

Delightful Bliss

It's a change in body appearance and it just takes some time getting used to it and it will evolve colour and size as it gets older

I hope you eventually can learn to love it OP

Similar story here!

Tummy tuck, inner & outer thighs, arm lift & butt lift.

I joke that I look like Frankenstein's sister but in truth, not one single man has ever had a negative reaction to my scars.

One or two have enquired about them, but they absolutely don't worry me & don't seem to have put anyone off

So glad to see this subject,I lifted a heavy steel girder few years ago,now my belly button popped out like a door bell, umbilical hernia,I am so conscious of it,at beach never take my top off, wear very loose tops, makes it worse when someone I worked with said it looks like a alien bursting out,as if I was not concerned about how it looks, doctor said will not do it,

People can be so hurtful at times,it I remember another time,15 years ago,I had always suffered with my teeth,my top front ones were wonky, and discoloured, had a calcium deficiency,I would never smile so it showed my teeth,so conscious about them,at a golf day,I actually won a trophy for longest drive,I got up and collected it from this pompous old guy, fucked off I won it,in front of 20 others in the pub, reluctantly handed me trophy, not aware I had a smile at winning,he said ,well done, next time clean your teeth,I was so humiliated, and what still gets me I didn’t respond,it still plays on my mind, and would not hold back if I met him again

Any kind of change to our body we feel insecure about, it's completely normal OP. You will find that no one cares as much as we do about these things and anyone who does, they aren't the person for you.

Embrace who you are, every part of you
