I try to be the same online as I am in real life, but I think I’m shyer is real life, and I’ve been told I’m better looking in person compared to my pics, but then I am rubbish at taking selfies!

So much... Even in person, if people see me around friends they assume I'm this loud confident person but it takes me a while to be like that around people.

I'm a competitive bodybuilder and am way bigger in real life than I appear on pics. Some people expect an average muscled guy and instead, I show up and I'm not that.for some people, 16 stone is heavy and I'm more like 19.5. Some like it though

Something to keep in mind, it may seem like a bizarre concept to some but we do give of a certain energy towards other ppl even over the internet through pics and text

Generally speaking when someone speaks to you (or even reading your profile), they can get a certain idea of who you are by the way you speak (or write in this), the wording, points of interests you highlight, that information the brain takes in begins to formulate an initial preconception of that person. Given the limited information the brain receives, often, and quite well known, our expectations of the person dont align with the reality

You may believe youre a nice person and you probably are. However when you put yourself out there, your own ideologies, opinions, interests etc. will tend to shape the way you speak, and that in turn translates into the energy you give off through your text, and therefore into the personality you give off to other ppl

Likewise the same goes for your pics, seeing your face, it sends all sorts of msgs to other ppl, a face can tell a thousand words and stories. Couple that with the way you speak and youve crafted an online persona. Which in your case is one of intimidation

Just from looking at your face and reading your profile, i can see why ppl would feel intimidated. Your attractiveness isnt whats intimidating, i feel its the sense that you have some very high closely guarded walls, one wrong slip as someone is climbing to "get in" with you, and theyll fall hard. You want to be inviting to ppl when they see and interact with you, and i dont feel a lot of invitation from you. In my mind i get this sense that youll only ever meet up with ppl you have an interest in and contact them first

But thats just how im seeing it, i dont doubt you are a very nice person, but as youre not sure why ppl are intimidated by you i thought id weigh in on that and give you a possible cause for it

For here I think it makes sense to do so as otherwise you’re likely to be disappointed or even offended if a meet is like “yea no thanks” whereas I’m brutally honest about how I look etc and then nobody under any illusions

I expect the same in return…don’t always get it!

I think I'm the same as here as in real life. I might tone it down slightly in real life so as not to put people off when it comes to being cheeky or sarcastic as it's not for everyone but when I get to know people, I feel more comfortable being myself
