Sorry, there are just too many vanishing threads on here now, and some I just can't understand. Posts I can, but not whole threads on principal sorry (the principle being mine, not Fab's or anyone else's!!). So my choice of course, but I feel it's just impossible for me to know if my posts are worth making now, even this one. Anyway, I managed to retrieve my contribution, and fwiw this (slightly edited) was part of it;

Yes Fab is all about the work you put in... The 'single male' thing is often overplayed too. It's definitely the hardest on here for a lot of men, but yes they do often blame other factors for their dissatisfaction. Men who grumble a lot often prove to have clear-holes in their approach, lazy ones usually, like asking people to get in touch with them based on almost nothing at all. Or just being too negative or blase in general.

You have to work at it to actually cut through all the crap. It amazes me sometimes. People need to do things like ring each other as least once etc. Just ask to ring, and always give someone a chance to back out of everything, don't 'lean' (esp via "timewasting" stories) or 'assume' - as many people will just leave it to the last minute to no-show. If people keep backing out of calls or proper pics etc you can easily ask yourself why.

Honestly, the time spent by some people bent-over their phones pushing letters without ever actually properly speaking is just extraordinary to me. I get the impression that some people drive for miles without ever seeing a proper photo too. Ok I guess the suspense/anonymity thing can be fun (I feel that way too sometimes), but what else do people expect when the odds of actually meeting prove to be even-less than 50/50?

It stands to reason that if you do the right things up front you'll get better-quality interest as you go.
