"Why do you need to fly?. Trains and buses are cheaper." I’d just assume it’s quicker to get a flight

"Helloooo I’m looking for some travel advice I’ve never flown before so I don’t know where to look so hoping some more experienced travellers can help me out I’m looking for fly from Southampton to Glasgow any time between now and August…all the searches I get back are £300+ Am i looking in the wrong place, or are they just genuinely £300? Or do I need to go from a different airport? Pls help i have no idea what I’m doing and neither do any of my family members " Try a website called skyscanner and type in your details... That will show options for you but its probably that Southampton to Glasgow is not direct..

"Ryanair is a passport only airline just to be aware. Even though entering Ireland from the UK doesn't require a passport, Ryanair still demand one. Probably expensive due to it either being a non direct route or not a popular route. Try to search for flights that end up with a transfer, could be cheaper. Although you'd possibly need a passport for that. " Everyday a school day re Ryanair.. Ta

The time in the air is shorter, but by the time you factor travel to the airport, last check in times, collecting luggage and travel from the airport, door to door there will not be much in it. Driving Southampton to Glasgow is 7hrs

"Why do you need to fly?. Trains and buses are cheaper." Trains are super expensive. Bristol to Glasgow is pretty cheap as is Gatwick. Smaller airports tend to be much more expensive so look at going easyJet from Gatwick.

It looks like Logan air are the only airline to do that route so play around a bit on their site for dates and times to get the best deal safe journeys

Cheapest airports are often Luton and Stanstead , both have good train and bus connections. Heathrow and Gatwick are ok too. Try easy-jet , Ryan air, wiz etc if you can flex the dates and times you can get for much cheaper
