OK, so I've not long moved and have found that kitchen gadgets are my go-to for purchases or would-be purchases (my faves being my hotel chocolat velvetiser and my ninja food chopper)

What is a kitchen gadget (or random item/utensil) that you've bought and can't live without...?

One of those spinning cake stands! Made decorating them so much easier

If not already found, your velvetiser has an intermittent fault. It will buzz but the spinny thing won't work. If that happens, they can't fix it..

This is one thing I definitely want and am desperately trying to clear some Worktop space for as it's too heavy to lift in and out of a cupboard!

Air fryer, food processor and slow cooker. I'd like more, but only have a small kitchen!

Yes, excellent. Much quicker and cheaper than putting the big oven on.

abruzzo Italy (and UK)

Slow cooker gets used a lot in winter

Bread maker should get used more than it does

Hand blender and hand whisk are both really useful, otherwise I pretty much do everything by hand.

Don't have the biggest of kitchens, so ours stays out of the cupboard, use glass baking board for it to sit on when using. Definitely wouldn't be without it now.

Bean to cup coffee machine.

Induction hob - having always cooked on gas I decided to try one, took a bit of getting used to however love cooking on it & wouldn't go back to gas.

Good set of regularly sharpened knives.

They are a bit unwieldy. I got mine on PayPal credit and paid it in four installments.

Secret hideaway in the pennines

My vac packer, as a single guy, it's great for splitting my meats into single portions and freezing.

No more freezer burn from foul or cling film.

I do my food shop once a month and splitting stuff up like this means no wastages, and means I can vary my diet rather than having to eat the same thing for 3 or 4 days

I also use it when I cook chilli or curry or casaroles, vac pack the left overs and freeze them for another day.

My boss was so impressed when it took it into work to vac pac some BBQ stuff, he has ordered one for the bar
