I'm currently in a role in happy with but no way isn't great. I've been head hunted by someone I use to with alongside and the money is better but unsure in these times if it's the right decision and if I'm going for just the money

It's 7k difference and nearer but loose benefits like free O2 box gigs and an easy day to day work life

Free gigs isn't a benefit

It all comes down to how much you want a monthly increase.

Also consider if it will alter your tax bracket

I would still be in the same tax bracket but an extra £350 a month

But also consider if the savings on fuel and time outweigh that, if so.

Eastbourne (she/they)

Go with whatever you think will make you happier.

I am a full time carer making a quarter of minimum wage but I wouldn't change it for the world

A lot of things that people say are benefits in a job really aren’t and I couldn’t care less about most of them what matters most is having a job that I enjoy and a remuneration package I am happy with.

In the last 2 years I have changed jobs twice and no regrets so far.

"It's a massive risk as just got myself a mortgage "

That would have been good to include at the beginning

How long have you been in your current role and how senior are you?

Do you like the person you used to work with? How long have they been at the company?

Do you trust them?

Is the new company well established and doing well?

How do things like pension compare?

It's a nice established company with many customers. The owner is nice but not someone you can banter with and I feel uneasy about working there as due to the mortgage I need job security and in this role I will be on a probation and fucked if it doesn't work out

Old work might take me back but very unsure

I usually go with my gut-instincts, only you will know what’s really best for you...

Guess nothing ventured nothing gained, can always look at it as if you’re about to start a new adventure...!

Whatever you decide, good-luck

Let’s be honest

We don’t go to work because we like it or because we like our work mates or we would do it for free wouldn’t we !?

We go to work for the money !!!

What I would do in your position is

Go along to the interview 1st and check it out it may be a disaster or it maybe your dream come true who knows

Then if the offer you the position the go to your current employer and tell them simply you been offered more £££

If your worth the extra £££ to them they will match what you been offered and if they don’t match it then you know where you stand in the company!! And you got a higher paid job to start

+£350 extra can pay for the 02 gigs

No brainier!!!

So why not be honest with your current employer and tell them you've had an offer, but you would rather stay where you are, but they are offering a significantly higher salary - show them the offer and ask if they can match it

We are bleeding people at the moment and i know we would do everything we could to keep them

At the end of the day you'll then at least know your current employers stance
