When you finish something?

Finished the toothpaste last night and a jar of honey this morning felt strangely satisfying. Don't know if it's starting the new one or finishing the old one or a mixture of both.

Do you get this or is it just me?

trying to get as much marmite out of the end of a jar could possibly be why one day, I may starve to death.

I’m not a fan of things ending.

Toilet roll is the worse esp if you have to get new ones from the cupboard

Flagrante

Part used stuff just feels untidy to me so maybe that's it?

Definitely. My OCD can’t cope with the incongruence of having two of the same thing in the cupboard, so when one goes the world is restored to balance

Derbyshire village

I once finished a Bic Biro AND a disposable lighter without it getting nicked in the pub.

I like them both just as much. I’ve had honey on my toast, but I wouldn’t have Marmite on my granola

Completely agree with the marmite point - the bottle shape seems to make this task practically impossible! Tubed tomato puree is another culprit.

Is it the satisfaction of then recycling OP?

Not the recycling though it's satisfying when it's been taken away, probably as mentioned by others earlier in the thread probably OCD.
