Are you nosey, when chatting with people do you ask lots of questions?

I think there’s a difference between being nosey and being interested.

I’ve known people ask questions like how much do you earn and the like, it’s a bit different to what’s your favourite book isn’t it.

I have a bad habbit of asking lots of questions, and always have. It's not necessarily that I'm nosey, im just trying to maintain conversations and learn about who im talking to.

Connecting with someone on a personal level, where asking questions and answering direct with no hidden agenda, only the want to get to know them on a personal level. And imagine that being reciprocated… that is what it’s all about isn’t it?

Or FAF?

I don’t see that as nosey but engaging. It’s not the asking the questions though, it’s what you do with the answers isn’t it.

I just ignore a lot of questions in conversations and move it into something else.

I tend to listen more and say what is enough to keep the flow going. Though i am very good at steering / manipulation of conversations direction if needed .

So yes, I do like to ask questions and like to be asked things myself. Otherwise we just show what’s on the surface. And that’s shallow. People are so much deeper, and if I like someone, I ask lots and sometimes too many questions.

I can at times ask questions that might seem a bit personal, although I wouldn't say it's being nosey (obviously I would think that). I'm one of those annoying people and follow a question with "if you don't mind me asking", as if that makes a difference because I've already asked the question

I do ask questions if someone has made a statement of asked me a question and I want to understand it more. I don't just ask personal questions out of the blue.

I don't go probing, unless they bring up a subject.

If they talk about their work, I'll ask questions. If they talk about their ethnicity background, I'll ask questions.
