Mr Floppy comes to town

Right lads so this will be considered a taboo subject amongst some of us, and not a great subject to bring up, excuse the pun, while on a site like this but …..

Have many of you had erectic dysfunction? If so what was the cause? How did you deal with it? Was your partner supportive of it?

I will admit that I have had ED on a couple of occasions but not done anything about it. I’m on heart meds and hoping that isn’t the cause as it may mean Mr Floppy taking up permanent residence. Are any of you on heart meds? How did that affect how you got treatment, Any advice? PMs welcome!

(Ps Girls I’m quite good with my fingers and tongue, I use both at the same time so any women reading this won’t be left disappointed)

What if the women, like myself, are disappointed that they didn't get a charming story of Mr Floppy's galavanting?

(Also: not inappropriate at all to discuss sexual health)

I have the same problem, I'm horny, hard as a rock. Then suddenly mr floppy returns. Wait a few minutes and I'm hard again. I'm on heart meds as well as anti depressants. Find it very difficult to cum these days. I get so close, but hardly ever over the edge. Very frustrating.

On the occasions it’s happened I didn’t even get that far, it’s like a balloon deflating, so dissappointed for all parties involved. I can’t seem to put it down to stress, just my heart meds and depression but I’m not on meds for that. I also overthink the situation.

Manchester (he/him)

I’m picturing the old ‘mr soft’ advert!

I have experienced this in the past but more from a mental standpoint than a physical one.

It’s easy to get into the ‘uh oh!’ Headspace and overthink the situation, which only makes the matter worse.

Only problem with viagra is that it lowers your blood pressure and if you are on beta blockers or blood pressure tablets it can lead to heart failure.

An antidepressant that does seem to have ED as a side effect, for some guys.

Personally not taking anti depressants, must be my heart meds or stress and over thinking causing my problems, at the moment is as I play alone but I hate to see what it’s like with a partner

As a woman I would like to say I feel for guys! But it doesn't stop play, you have fingers and tongues and that's just as much fun

And we get how difficult it is, there's nothing we can say which makes it better. Better just to have a chat and laugh xx

Never suffered with ED but have lost an erection while with someone, tiredness is the worst for this from my experience.

It happens, men are not machines and nothing to be ashamed of. Little rest and 30 minutes later all good to go again.

I was on sertraline and it used to give me issues getting it up. To combat it I took viagra. Which worked...but I ended up coming extremely quickly.

I was on sertraline for a long time, never stopped me getting hard but essentially lost all feeling in my cock, could have used it as a hammer and would not have felt it. Orgasm was virtually impossible and I still have issues now.

BRIDGEND

I have suffered from it with a partner alone and I still have issues in 'multiplayer' situations from time to time, especially if there is another lady involved with us.

We eventually figured out that it was down to performance anxiety and me over-thinking about what was happening. I am the classic over-thinker, a dozen flowcharts a second processing through my head at any given time to figure out what I should be doing etc.

Once she had taken the time to get inside my head and find the 'off switch' she can now get me to respond to her whenever she wants, even if I try not to.

Men aren't machines. We aren't supposed to be able to get instantly erect in the presence of a woman who wants sex. Some guys can and do, don't get me wrong and I'm envious about that from time to time. But no man should ever be made to feel inadequate if, in the moment, not everything goes according to plan. If it becomes a pattern, then it still isn't a problem but it might be worth trying to find out what's changed.

I think when it comes to the issue of ED,

It can be a shame thing, embarrassment as well, we are meant to be blokes, tough, get an erection at the drop of a hat, and be able to please (to some degree) in the bedroom, but we are far more fragile both physically and emotionally and this just shows it.

You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, it happens. Men are human first and foremost and putting pressure on yourself is not helping. Intimacy runs deeper than penetrative sex which tbf is only a small percentage of sex.

See a Dr and don't pressure yourself
