Morning all, it’s that time again.

I had a few days without anxiety at the end of last week, but I’ve had a couple of shaky (literally) ones again with this morning feeling pretty jittery and fearful. Lots of noticing of physical sensations. I think I know what’s contributing to it all but don’t really want to talk about it. I have CBT every other week and have a session this coming Wednesday so that’s good. I haven’t been doing the workouts I was supposed to do for homework (exposure to and pushing through uncomfortable feelings) but I did walk for an hour every day last week and hope to continue with that this week.

How are you all doing? Sending love to all

Good to hear about those positive little steps Lou, wobble days come around, but they are also there to help you learn and grow. Good luck with your CBT homework x

I had a massive set back in the heat last week and basically turned into a hermit, luckily it cooled down at the weekend so re-emergence was achievable, but the experience has made me more aware of my bodies reactions to heat stresses and what I need to do to avoid it x

Thank you x

I’m sorry you had a tough time last week It’s good when we learn from those experiences though. You should move to Lancs, the heat barely touched us here! x

Thanks for giving people the chance to talk OP and look after yourself

Mixed week with some fun times and many times of wondering about the pointless ness of being here

Good morning Lou & everyone!

After a couple of weeks of dreadful anxiety, job stresses (ie my work has been non existent), some health investigations and just generally withdrawing and being tearful. I seemed to have managed to pick myself up a bit last week.

Read some helpful psychology books, tried my hardest to focus on the tiniest positives and most importantly prioritised exercise and I’m feeling much better.

Life is still complicated but I’m choosing to not spend too much dwelling on the bad which in turn is making me feel more proactive & able to function. I’m starting this week feeling more in control.

Mixed start to the week here, recently dipped back into depression again but feared going back on anti depressants as they have always been the death of my libido. Saw a Psychiatrist and we found medication that doesn’t have that effect. I’m back on ADHD medication too and that has me quite bouncy. Hopefully things even out soon but weekly talking therapy should help a lot.

Sorry to hear things have been tough, it sounds like you’ve got some ways through sorted though that you’re happy with. I have everything crossed that you find yourself on an even keel very soon. Good luck with the therapy! x

A new partner and I had a 4 some last night. She really liked one of the guys which didn’t give me a great feeling this morning. We texted and discussed this morning how I felt (jealous). She said she had a great time and a particular guy ticked all her boxes.

I’m glad we chatted and she reiterated that her interest was solely physical and not seeking anything beyond yesterdays meet.

Nameste.

Wandering the forums and chanced upon this.

I've struggled with anxiety panic attacks and other associated mental health problems for the last ten years I guess and they were a contributory factor I'm my marriage breaking down.

Counselling has helped but i still get episodes. Last week was a bad week and yesterday particularly so - Father's Day with no contact from the children combined with a long journey almost broke me. Today is sunny though and I'll have a walk in the sunshine plus a swim later that I hope will help.

Now I know this thread is here, I'll check in.

Take care all, love yourself and be kind to others.

That all sounds really tough, I’m sorry you’ve spent so long suffering. I’m glad counselling has helped you a lot, I think we probably remain vulnerable when we’ve been through things like that though and I don’t think it’s unusual to struggle at times. It’s good you made it through yesterday and today finds you with a positive outlook.

Please do come and check in every week, you’re very welcome x
