Secret hideaway in the pennines

Many years ago, I worked in a night club in Leeds, every Thursday night, this group of women would be in, and I fell for one of them, however, being quite shy at the time, I never said anything about how I felt.

Shuffle on 18 months, I get an invite to a friend's wedding.

Image my surprise and shock when his bride turns out to be the same woman the I pined over and never had the guts to say anything

I’ve never been in love or had a crush; I fear I am incapable BUT I have often thought about dating my best friend just for the thrill of it, though I’ve never had any proper feelings for her.

North Bucks

Yup it cost me a lot money and a lot of self respect. And what’s worse it cost me the trust and loss of a woman I adored.

I still wince now over the hurt I caused to two people.

I deserved all I got.

Well something, rather than someone.

My bloody football team. Nothing but misery (with small periodic pleasures.. but mostly misery!)

Yes I have.

We’re all social creatures and need to interact with others on some basic level. As much as people try to avoid feelings and build walls up to stop getting hurt, when you meet ‘that’ person, they just get in, no matter what.

Love can hurt, unrequited love especially so but I don’t believe that there’s just one person for any of us. Love can happen at any point, it’s what you choose to do about it that’s the key

'Love' probably not?... 'Limerance', yes definitely! Had an online friendship, flirtation, that crossed over with someone attached, and miles away... Ended up sooo into them. Met up once in person, twas an absolute let down

Parted company, but it still took me ages to stop having the' feels'... Pretty tough situation really
