Right now, I'm feeling not so attractive. To be honest, I don't think I'm the attractive type and I'm not sure if there is anything attractive about me

It depends on how many things I can pick flaws in. Body wise I feel quite attractive for the most part.

Face wise, I very rarely feel attractive at all. I hate taking selfies because I can't find good angles and I hate being in pictures with other people because all I can see are my flaws that I can do nothing about. So yeah, it varies really

My perception of myself can swing between attractive to not, it is random and I take it with a pinch of salt either way Thankfully I am less concerned as I got older, as you should by now be realising it is all a shallow foundation, a losing battle with age and life is too short

I know from personal experience and also from talking to other people that this is not the case at all. So what if it is a thread looking for a bit of sympathy. I'm feeling above average. Yeah, I've put on half a stone, I have grey hair at 40, and my skin isn't as wrinkle free as I'd like, but I'm feeling very OK about myself. I wish I'd felt this comfortable in my own skin back when I was young and pretty. What a lot of time and energy wasted worrying about inconsequential things.

I’ve been feeling myself for a while now. Considering I was quite self conscious when I was younger and I haven’t really changed much I’m really happy about it.

I often feel attractive and I came from a background unfortunately where that was often made clear to me throughout my youth. But as time's gone by (etc etc) I think I've chosen in these type of areas to go a lot more by what other people feel about me than I do myself, and to be a lot more accepting when people say positive things about me. In the past I've paid a real price of being far too negative in this particular area (in one relationship esp sadly, where she really needed us both to feel both confident and attractive).

Some people find confidence itself attractive, and though that isn't a 'deal breaker' for a lot of people - a continual lack of confidence in this area does eventually become unattractive to a lot of people I feel. I think if people call you 'attractive' and you have no real reason not to believe them, this is an area where you can really think about going by what they say - whatever you keep telling yourself! --pt

Generally I think I’m pretty ugly to average looking based on my experience in the world. I occasionally feel confident and attractive but that usually goes after looking on the mirror.

But I think I’m attractive for other reasons and I believe that there’s something about me because I have partners that like me and even love me. And I don’t doubt how they feel about me. Even if I don’t see myself the same way. Or most people don’t see me that way.

Fab has a way of making you feel even more unattractive.

I am sure this is the same for both sexes, and the "there is someone out there for you" quotes that get banded around really are just platitudes.

I accept that as a single male I rank pretty low in the grand scheme of things, I don't have the physique of an Adonis, but I am comfortable in my own skin.

I have empathy and compassion, and I am very much what you see is what you get.

I am happy to be someone's friend with no conditions.

I have made some wonderful friends on here who have helped me through some tough times, and I would like to think that they could come to me if the situation was reversed.

That to me is more attractive than looks alone

I'm quite happy with how I look. Took a long time to be able to say that, and yes I look better with make up on, but I'm also happy to not wear it.

Since school days as a male in an all boys school. Called a lot of names. Regarding my looks. So have really never thought of myself good looking etc. My biggest boost though . On a dating app. Matched with a female who a lot younger than me. We have seen each other in person frequently since then. Plus she has shown my face ,clothed body photo’s to her mum and her friends . I have seen on her phone replies to photo’s from her friends. Yes have said about age , but also said look good for age and saying lucky her. Yet still do not feel attractive . ? Realise now some will find attractive , others will not . ?

I think I've gotten better as I've aged, a little extra middle aged weight has probably helped as I was quite skinny when I was younger. Often I catch Mrs looking at me in a particular way and I feel like the sexiest man alive.

Sorry you’re not feeling confident, I know it sucks.

I lost a good amount of weight last year and felt so good about myself but I’ve slipped and started to gain some back and it’s starting to make me feel crappy again. Sometimes I feel good and I’m happy with my body but there’s days I actually avoid mirrors.

Out of 10? About 4. Sometimes I might hit 7. Usually after a few drinks or I'm surrounded by women. But then I remember I have a dad bod and don't have millions in the bank and I'm back down to 3-4.

It fluctuates im guessing with mood and hormones.

I do feel the most confident I've ever felt and beginning to realise I was like the ugly duckling.

After years of being the ugly duckling though it's hard to see yourself as anything else and accepting compliments is hard

I'm at odds. I feel the most attractive I've ever been. I'm happy, I can look at myself in the mirror or a photo and see someone I think looks beautiful for the first time ever.

Yet because I've taken this route I'm being passed over, excluded or seen as a weirdo. So because of this I'm not feeling attractive at all, as I'm not attracting anyone.

I seem to be going through a reclusive phase. I never felt particularly attractive before but I was actually relieved when the lockdowns came along so I had a perfect excuse for not going out and being social.

On the down side of that, like everyone, I gained a bit of weight and found that as the lockdowns eased I became more insecure about the way i look and feel about myself.

To the outside world I come accross as bubbly and happy but that's far from the truth. Like most, I stopped meeting during the pandemic but now there's no way I'd feel attractive enough to put myself back out there again x
