Lesson from Depp vs Heard

So after Mrs Heard accepted that she had lost, she told her lawer;

'I am so sorry to all those women out there`.

A few years ago I had a work mate who had a young son. And his son was on sucide watch a few years ago because a girl accused him of sexual assault. After a police investigation into the matter, it was found that this girl had previously made similar accusations on other boys, all proven to be false. Again here she was found to be false. And that my work mates son was innocent. However because of English (western) law there is a 'safety mechanism' put in place to protect women in such scenario's. like this girl who kept calling 'wolf'.

Could the Mr Depp vs Mrs Heard case change this law? Prior to the verdict the media said it would have impact.

If a woman makes a claim (sexual) against a man and she looses she should still be allowed to make future claims against anyone in the future irrespective of damages or consequences suffered by her defandant. I don't know the technical term but it's well known.

The risk is that after a woman makes an accusation that doesn't end up in a conviction, then by OPs argument, she can be assaulted with impunity.

You know in the cry wolf parable there was actually a wolf in the end, right?

The idea that the courts favour women I DV/SV matters is absurd. Conviction rates are incredibly low, as are the number of false reports.
