I haven't been on funfair rides for decades but as a young teenager, every August the funfair would arrive in town and my parents would pay for me and three friends to go out for a pizza on my birthday. Every year we would follow it up with a visit to funfair ... and every year I would go on the Waltzer and afterwards bring up my pizza dinner Think I only learnt my lesson when I turned 18 and we went to the pub instead of the fair

"The twister being spun around by the fair boys the wind in your hair fab experience "

That the waltser the guys spin the ride and it pins you against the back of the car.

Also one of my favs too but I dont need them to spin it.

I just get into trouble for really spinning them instead, Spun so hard your pinned to the seats and your lungs are screaming for air as you try to breathe.

Is the way I like it.

Another type im aware of is the sizzler and another in a round circle that spins.

There is a waltzer on lifting arms i got warned on that one not to spin it so hard. poor friend was sick on it

Sizzerler I like as that throws you outwards but i prefer mouse trap that throws you both ways.

"Dodgems.

I wish the last time I went on them they threw the lot of us off for hitting the other dodgem cars.

Stopped the ride and told all of us to exit the cars, Havent been back on them since as dodgem cars was designed so you could hit others thats the fun of it.

There was a thing that looked like a flying saucer decades ago at alton towers called "gravitron".

It spun round and pinned you to the walls due to the centrifugal force, then the wall would shoot up about 2 feet so your body was off the floor.

-I think i queued up for it 3 times in a row when i was a kid.

It used to be called 'The Rotor' at the funfair. Same thing as the graviton but smaller. All enclosed in a cylinder with a pole in the middle. It started to spin, then the floor dropped leaving us all glued to the walls. The funniest times I remember is when the floor came back up and it slowed down, everyone tried to grab the pole, without much success. People falling over, walking like they had too many drinks. Great fun!!
