it could be a bug starting or something making u feeling ill like something due

i know when i was moving locations i was feeling ill for weeks

apprehension atress can make you feel like thus

have a warm bath stay in pjs and chill x

Peppermint tea or ginger ale (NOT ginger beer) is good if you're feeling nauseous. Or pop to Tesco and get some Ranitidine.

If you are feeling sick when you bend over it could be the sign of a middle ear infection. There is no pain with it so hard to know you got it. Best get it checked out x

Sounds a little but like labyrinthitis to me. It is usually accompanied by extreme dizziness though but when I had it moving that involved turning my head in any way caused extreme nausea. Easily cured with tablets I think they were just very strong version of sea sick pills. Hope you feel better soon.

A&E is in a hospital, as it needs to be able to handle major traumas.

Walk in clinic is just a clinic in a building somewhere without all the equipment to be able to handle those that are seriously ill.

not round here anyway, they are liek a doctors surgery only anyone can use them. They aren't really walk in as I interpret it though, you need to make an appointment and you'll often need to wait for an hour or so but very handy in an emergency that doesn't quite qualify for a and e.

Kate's got Labrynthitis or something like that. It's something to do with the tiny hairs in her ears

It's affecting her balance and she's walking around the house as if she's pissed

Hope you feel better soon, a lot of bugs going round so could be the onset of that or indeed a middle ear infection.

Personally I am on prescritpton anti sickness drugs at the moment due to the pills I am taking and they do work.

I would not bother going to any clinics today as you could wait hours and with a wee one not ideal.

Wait and make an appointment at your doctors tomorrow.

Flat lemonade and flat are both good at settling nausea.

But if related to a bacterial infection will not do very much.

Spend the day relaxing and no sudden movements.

I suffer with dizzy spells and feeling sick and doc has told me its caused by a build up of wax deep in my ears. For some reason my ears are prone to it, he gives me ear drops and they usually work within a week. Have had this 3 times this year already so know how you feel.

Its like a GP clinic that you don't get an appointment for. You walk in, fill out a form and wait.

You'll first be seen by a nurse practitioner who is able to authorize certain prescriptions. So you may only see that person, get examined then either given advice and possibly a prescription - which they often have in stock so you might get the tabs and pay the fee or may get the paper prescription.

If they consider it more severe you will be referred to a GP on duty.

I googled and there's one at Gould somewhere in Plymouth. Not sure of the hours - the Sheffield one is 8-8, 7 days a week.

Prepare for a wait (magazine etc) but you could be lucky and be in and out in half an hour.

Maybe give NHS direct a rig just for peace of mind and then take it easy today (as easy as you can with a little one running about )

while everyone is in Dr mode..and a blatent hijack...can you get arthritis in just one finger joint? i have had a sore fnger for months now, i thought i had sprained it at first but surely that would have gone away by now?

"I have used the walk in clinics a lot as I suffered regularly from tonsilitis and it was quicker to go and walk out with my prescription, especially on a weekend, then to ring up for an appointment at my GPS (Mondays are the worst to try and get an appt).

I also work away a lot so if I'm ill they are a godsend.

People ask for advise all the time on here and you yourself have given me some so dont understand why you got catty "

It is a valid point nevertheless. One would hope any parent would know where to get the correct advice on health issues and thus would know where to go for the correct advice for themselves…. especially if they have experiences of health issues under their belt.

One would also hope someone with a child would know there is a need to seek the correct advice when symptoms persist.

Personally my priorities would be to find the cause rather than how to avoid the symptoms… even if it was just to reassure myself my child was not at any risk of also suffering.

But then it really depends on what people want when they ask a forum for advice.

have you ever damaged your finger? i get it in the one i broke as well as my knee. its worse in damp weather. try and keep it warm

Ditto! I've broken most of my fingers at one point or another and had multiple keyhole surgery on both knees.

When it's cold it's sometimes agony and the symptoms are identical to arthritis.

Luckily - it doesn't seem to affect my nose!!

Re the finger, I have broken various toe bones and finger bones and find when it's cold they ache!! Just try and keep them warm

Yep it could be something potentially that antibiotics will knock out in a few days for you.

You can try things like sea legs and Buscopan (hyoscine) - they might help. Some people also have these alongside other meds for IBS too. They're relatively harmless and so they're available over the counter.

Stemetil works very well, especially if you ask for the 'eff' effervescent variety. Devil had the Buccal 'Buccastem' tablets recently and really didn't find them any good. Ordinary stemetil tablets work quite well too - just the speed with which they work.

Any treatment you get, the GP will have to weigh up the benefits vs the risks of giving you any medication, especially if you're on other medications.

I did a bit if research when i first had this and asked the doctor if it could be that but he said no! I must admit if it happens again i might see the other doctor at my surgery for a second opinion. Thanks
