"Was very tired and took all the plates off 1 side of the bar. As I took the last plate off the bar flipped up and made such a mess and a loud noise. "I’ve seen quite a few in person. Someone collapsing under the squat bar putting too much weight on. Someone taking all the plates off one side of the bar. I think there was about 5 x20s each side as he took the 2nd to last plate off it just catapulted the bar, nearly hitting someone." Oh I didn’t realise the question was for yourself. I once dropped the EZ bar doing overhead tricep presses. I was doing it close grip where there is no knurling and it just slipped right out my hand | |||

So he had clipped to stacks to 1 bar did a seated pull down (from floor) and when stacks got to top the whole lot pitched forward and landed on top of him. Completely pulled the anchors out. "I attempted a squat PR outside of a squat rack so without the safety bars. As I reached the lower end of my range of motion I realised I wasn’t getting back up. I sat there for about 20 seconds before I had to lean forward and roll the bar over my neck and head and it crashed on the floor. My neck was bruised and scratched but nowhere near as bad as my ego " Could you not throw it off backwards? | |||

Time out and a load of jelly babies sorted me out! Glad you're ok, Evie! I've not had any epic fails (yet), though a couple of near misses under a snatch. But will be filled with anxiety dreams about all of these next time! | |||

I had dropped the rest of the bunch sometime agao, as I decided to race some cars in the 30 mph zones. I slowed down a lot, kept looking back ovwr my shoulder to look for them. I ckipped the kerb and went down hard, I had a skin graze from my knee to my ankle, also a fee cuts to the knee. A copper saw this and insisted I went to hospital, I wanted to get home as I had about 20 miles to go. On a 10 mile time trial, my minutemqn thought I would be a skow rider. I went off like a rocket and started to catch him up before I had dobe 3 miles, over the rest of the course I was catchibg him. I was about 100 yards vehibd him as I turned in the start and finish road and went down ina damp patch. I was fuming that I couldn't catch him after that. | |||

My deadlift fail this week was my gym partner and I having a misunderstanding and put different weights each end of the bar so our lifts were slightly lop sided before we noticed lol | |||
