Tonight I joined my first boxercise class and omg! Such good fun but fuck me! It was a workout and then some.

Mixed gender class and there were guys there who were ripped and didn't hold back, I was super proud of myself for keeping up, holding my own and giving as good as I got

Feeling it now and aching like an achey thing! But still on a high

Have you done anything you can be super proud of?? Reached a goal or winning at life??? Hit me with whatcha got

Recent proud achievement? Because the historic are quite personal/boring.

I went for a walk at lunch. No phone. And actually just enjoyed being. I'm going to be Peaks ready soon.

Used to go. Avoid the fucking clowns who think they're Mike Tysoe and make no allowances for the fact they're partnered with a woman. One guy punched my mitt so hard it came flying off and I ended up having to wear a wrist splint for a few weeks.

Luckily it wasn't my good hand so I could key the cunt's car on the way home.

I so hope you did! I bloody hate twats like that. Two of the trainers at a gym I used to frequent were showing off, one attacking and one bracing a training dummy. They kept goading those present to have a go and then criticising/laughing at them. I tend to keep myself to myself, but when it came to my turn I knocked the dummy and trainer flat with one kick. 20 years of kicking doors in gives you an edge.

Don't worry about power. It's all about good technique.

Wirral

I walked into a boxercise class 8 years ago and walked out before the end (I was fucked) telling the instructor 'I'd be back next class'.

I did go back next class and it became part of a regime that saw me lose over 2st and start eating better. I never walked out early again.

However as I got older the urge to go - as well as eating better - started to go by the wayside. I still go often but nowhere near as regularly but I will get back into it soon though as I was doing well up until recently suffering food poisoning - it has knocked me for 6.

So stick with it OP, it will only get easier the fitter you become - but you've done the hardest bit now, all downhill from now on...Enjoy!

Tbf I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a bus, legs and hips just killed.

Once I was up and moving I felt much better, so a little achey but feel great

"I went to a club by myself for the first time 5 years ago despite having Asperger's Syndrome.

Over time, I made new friends which helped me become a more confident and happier person.

Knowing how aspergers can impact on your social life that is brilliant! Well done you"

Thanks

"Used to go.

Did he mean it?

So many ways that could have happened. Would blame whoever partnered you with him.

"

Probably not but he was well known for being a prick and thinking he was the alpha in the group. He rattled it full force. Absolutely no need for it.

In the west.

Mine was when I graduated from university. I went from a serial non-attender at school, who had a series of deadend manky jobs and brought up in a rough council scheme to a guy in his 40's who can put professional on his Fab profile and feel like the dugs bollocks.

"Tonight I joined my first boxercise class and omg!

Hit me with whatcha got "

Was a bit of a school dropout, had far too much time having fun, so super proud moments when I got my degree and my post grad qualification

Nice one! Nothing like a good workout to make you feel good about yourself.

I've recently started a new job with a huge amount of science involved, and I haven't blown the place up yet/caused any natural disasters, so chalking that up as a win!

Congrats on the new job! Sounds exciting. I would love to blow something up "

A couple of months shy of my 18th birthday, flying a glider solo. Just me, myself and I, 1100 foot up in the air with no parachute. Quite an exhilarating experience.

Back to the OP. I suppose I have been lucky with quite a few opportunities for personal achievements and goals, but nothing has made me more proud than seeing my kids grow into decent human beings.

North West

I took myself from Manchester to London, for 3 nights, all around the capital by wheelchair (plus various luggage etc). I was pretty chuffed I could achieve what I did from a physical perspective. I was also pleased to make it from Euston to Embankment Pier in half an hour of solid pushing

Having done a LOT of gliding myself, I get where you are coming from! It's great rocketing up a winch launch like a bat out of hell followed seconds later by peace and tranquility, free as a bird.

All of my flights were winch launch, and as soon as you pull that release cable and hear that slight clock, just almost silence. Far preferred it to powered flight.
