Where is the line between acceptable fetishes and things one should seek treatment for?

Mayfair

Are you asking for longitudinal and latitudinal references for this particular "line"?

That's a great question. I am not an expert in kink world though I am a member of it. There is this list called safe, sane and consensual. I agree that what one person considers sane may not be sane for others. Maybe we can draw a line at things that cause permanent damage to body?

Burnleyish (She/They)

If it's a true fetish (one in which the object of the fetish must be involved for sexual gratification to be achieved) and that is making you unhappy.

Or it's making you unhappy.

(This is assuming the fetish is not illegal or immoral)

Love all the usual foot fetish stuff eg kiss feet, lick feet, suck toes, footjob, cum on feet etc.. but my absolute favourite is sniffing them. Especially wen they are as damp, sweaty and stinky as possible. Stinkier the better. Cute girls feet only tho.

The line is as long as it’s legal

Each to they own

If it’s not for me as long as they aren’t harm anyone

Anything goes except that which is illegal, wholly immoral, you’re addicted to or is making you physically / emotionally / mentally unwell or unstable

Even before reading this, I was just fantasising about women in backless cork wedges for some reason!

Back of the bins.

As with any behaviour, when the effects of the behaviour start to negatively impact you or people around you.

Eg Tim is into playing mobile phone games,

Tim no longer has enough money to pay his rent.

Maybe the problem is Tim’s landlord’s monthly behaviour is negatively affecting Tim.

Tim’s rent is slightly below market value, but tim spends around £13000 on the games each month.

Tim wins £140 million on the lottery and refuses to pay his rent due to a long term broken boiler. His only way to keep warm is to play mobile games.

Tim wouldn’t be renting with that money

Crossing a line’ can mean a lot of things. Simply mean, one won’t be part of certain things, must be safe and consensual.

What if you were so in love with your partner, you hate doing it but you do it for him...?

Why would you want to be with someone who is happy for you to do something that they know makes you unhappy, just because they like it?

Tim refusing to pay his rent due to his landlord not fixing his place is different to the original point of Tim not having enough money to pay his rent.
