Not being a Saffa, this was new to me a few years ago but I bloody love it. Especially if you go to a proper SA shop - literally melts in the mouth and so tasty.

Don’t get me started on beef jerkey though - like chewing a belt!

Yay or nay?

I tried it at a food market. It’s tasty, and yes. Much better than beef jerky. Which I also tried simply because of The Simpson’s.

I find biltong doesn’t last too good so best eaten soon after purchase or it also becomes chewy .

Definitely a yay for me, but good quality jery is great too. Just got some buffalo jerky given as a gift from someone on their travels

Depends on if you get more wet than dry…. Wet, if stored properly with lots of fat can last a while before it gets chewy.

Definitely Yay, fantastic baked into bread with cheese, thrown on pizza, added into a trail mix

Snap stix are my absolute new favourite as the sliced biltong doesn’t last long in my house
