I’m going on a train, choo choo!

Are you a book reader, mobile phone fiddler, music listener, or gaze out the windower when on a train journey?

And where would you like to catch a train to right now? Anywhere - it doesn’t have to be a fully functional train line stop.

I do a bit of all of these if I can manage. Definitely a window gaze and some music. Reading if it’s long enough.

If I could go anywhere, I’d go to Manchester again or I’d go to Glasgow for the first time.

Or whichever train takes me to you.

I tend to download stuff to my iPad now and watch that.

Edinburgh would be my destination of choice - nice long journey and then a lovely city when you arrive

All of the above, but mainly phone and music. But most of all - EAT. For some reason I seem to need to eat constantly on any long train journey.

If hopping on board, I'd be heading to the coast somewhere...need some sea air!

I don't really remember what it's like to catch a train without at least one small child. I think I used to stare out the window. But these days I'm just a pack horse who supplies food, drink, books, colouring pencils and inane chat. Plus company on repeated toilet trips. We're also that annoying family on the train who's children run up and down the aisle and start chatting to random strangers

I miss trains. They're just too expensive and inconvenient for my travel though. Mostly

If I could though, I'd get on a train to the Lake District, but only if someone would meet me at the other end

I love long train rides

I'm a music listener while gazing out the window.

Anywhere would be good right now, as long as there's nice views to see and a cuppa in hand and a packet of jelly babies too

Right now I’d love a train ride through Europe. Switzerland was lovely with clean trains. Beautiful scenery and a picnic on the train would be my ideal train trip.

Except these days does not seem to be guaranteed. There are too many people who don't care what carriage it is and they will still do whatever they like and spoil the peace and quiet. Conductors don't even challenge the morons who spend most of the journey talking on the phones in a quite carriage. I always take ear plugs with me

I love a train trip. I'm a noser but if it's really dull I'll read a book on my phone.

I'd live to be on the train through the Canadian Rockies right now, as uncomfortable as they always are I find a sleeper train ridiculously exciting.
