Same here. Some fruit /veg are way too expensive, so I don’t bother, but others are excellently priced and rally good quality. And the butcher in our local farm shop is really good.

Very happy to support locals, and local farmer’s market.

I have a few near me. I go sometimes . This to buy venison. They are cheaper than butchers or if my supermarket has . Plus like their homemade cakes

My family has a farm shop, all meat is local,eggs/veg are local, bread local, were big on supporting local/british & small businesses. Its absolutely thriving especially since brexit, our farm meat/dairy has gone through the roof.

I personally havnt shopped in a supermarket for many many years.

People generally are more cautious about what they're putting in their body now, our prices rival supermarkets and you shop differently so typically waste less and the black big goes out virtually empty not full of non recyclable packaging

Up here, in Fife there’s a farm shop that sells the most gorgeous savoury bread, ay £4.50 it’s not something you’d have with your sausages at breakfast, but tasty enough to have on it’s own with just butter. It’s Leek & cheese & utterly delicious

I love farm shops, we have lots of little ones as well as vending machines at farms which sells everything from cheese to meat and milk

Must admit I visit the milk shack everyday for milk, they also do milkshakes in every flavour you can think or. I also the farm shop once a week to buy cheese butter and ice cream

Yesterday we bought asparagus, broad beans, a brown pepper and some bacon to go with the liver.

A brown pepper? This has excited me... what is a brown one like?

Not eaten it yet.

If you could update when it has happened that would be great, please and thank you.

No. But I’m also guessing that the other paired wasn’t present when “jacinda” was having cocktails with the girls and boasting about now much she had spent at the farm shop.

This was Cowdray in West Sussex. A very white stronghold full of posh stereotypes and the shopped stacked with every expensive morsel known to man.

Nice but very different to my local Asda.

The only things we buy from farm shops are the crops that particular farmer grows. Asparagus and strawberries being top of the list. Our favourite asparagus farmer retired and sold up a couple of years ago sadly for us.

Farm and local shops/butchers are all about being a little bit more ethical with your shopping habits...

It's all relative to disposable income.

Don't always be fouled by the products.

I work in industries were I get a sneak peak in how things are made. Think prettier Greg Wallace...

Some farm shop products are made in the same factories as the supermarkets. Only difference is a label and a the price hike.

You have to shop smart.

E.g I can go to a cash and carry and get 2kgs of smoked bacon or get 8 rashers off the exact same bacon from my local butcher for the same price!

Same biltong is in supermarkets as it is a farm shop.

Shop smart... enjoy the produce available from all places..

I worked in packaging and met on a course a wheatabix guy. Same factory different lines..
