Don’t get me wrong great people I work with and they have my back all the time

When I go out prefer to be on my own don’t want someone with me

A lone wolf one would say

This is a question for all chaps as well as lady’s in you’re work do you prefer working with others or being on you’re own

Reason for question was that today I made a decision while out was good one as it panned out my decision making would been different if I had someone with me

I prefer being with others. I am dying working from home. I have that weird anxiety thing where you are super anxious around people but still crave social interaction

I work in an office but have to leave through the day to check on work scattered around the North West although I enjoy the chats and banter of an office I find I look forward to getting out of the office to work on my own accord

I whole heartedly agree with you but I get the social interaction from members of the public and the shops but think sometimes they think I’m loose cannon about to explode think during lockdown that’s what I missed now joe public is about now very happy you are all back by the way think I’m most happiest on my own

I work alone and I love it! I own a small yarn shop and chatting to my customers is enough to keep me from getting bored or isolated

Think during lockdown was difficult period for me as no joe public about no interaction but hope the worst is behind us what’s strange though still seems very quiet

I work entirely alone and much prefer it that way, I have had office jobs and other more communal type jobs in the past but normally doing things that mean working quite a lot on my own things. My definition of teamwork is very much that I do this bit of a task and someone else does another bit and we end up with a finished product but without necessarily having to work together on anything.

We have to work with others, very little can be achieved alone , even as a creative/ photographer I might shoot alone a fair bit and enjoy solitude when designing but get inspiration abs energy from others.

At normal work I work 50% from home on Teams and 50% in other countries and with a huge global team , lots of social stuff , so it’s perfect I would struggle in any other setup, I need both

Decision making is different , you have to make them yourself after consulting those you trust, then deliberate on it alone and be at peace with what you decide not them

I'd rather work on my own. Give me the work and let me get my head down and do it. But I prefer having others around me for quick questions and just to chat

I like to work in a team as long as it is a team, a very difficult thing to achieve in a self centred universe. I currently have two pleasers, two secret squirrels, a self believer, a non achiever and a time bomb. Which makes us all on our own. Any excuse to do something different out of the office on my own I will grab it with both hands. If I am still there by the end of summer. I might just travel on my own for some months for as long as I can afford it just to reset.

I can do both happily, if im on a intricate problem solving job i tend to crack on when know ones in on my own, either weekend or early morning.

But majority of the time we're a team working on 1 project.

I work best alone.

I have been privileged enough, a couple of times in the past, to work in very small teams with a close and mutually complementary dynamic; so I do understand very well the potential advantages of teamwork. Both times those teams were made up of three people: me the autistic/technical/analytical problem solver, an ADHD motivator/powerhouse and the third person a brilliant people-person/negotiator. However, that kind of self-fuelling, beneficial dynamic is a very rare thing.

I love working with people, I work in the office one day a week and look forward to it, we have a laugh and it's good crack. On the days I'm working from home my mates normally call in for a bit so I'm not alone often then either.

I prefer too work with someone, and often do. But there are times it just nice to be out on my own, not that I stop for any real length of time, except perhaps for a Saturday..

I don’t mind as long as they pull their weight and I don’t have to babysit them at work. There is nothing worse than having to do all the work because someone is lazy/incompetent or have no common sense.

It’s a skill in itself. For many of us we will always be more productive , think faster , make better decisions in a peer group but you have to manage that. Performance levels of top people are not just 1-2x average they are typically 20-50x and top performers are often disruptive and alienate good people.

You have to learn - to motivate people and find their strengths or work out how to exit them if they have character issues.

No good being smart of you’re people-dumb , you’re of little or no use.
