"Either a proprietary spray ....... OR It could be that your courgettes aren't getting enough air around them ( not a euphemism for bollocks in boxers ) Clear away anything underneath the plants like dying foliage straw etc .... so that the air can circulate. Sounds to me like they are in humid conditions and can't keep dry. " My greenhouse is very humid which could well be the problem but the outdoor ones not so much | |||

"Bank them up away from the soil with lots of airy room underneath " The problem in the greenhouse is that I have them protected from a small tortoise bulldozer so they're a bit restricted. I might have to accept that I can't prevent it in there. Thanks for advice | |||

"Powdery mildew is usually under watering. Don’t forget your Courgettes will need A LOT of water to fill out! " I've never had this problem before. Maybe it was too dry just after I planted them. It's been raining cats and dogs recently and I've religiously watered in the greenhouse. I'm doomed  | |||

I've pinched these out at 8 on each plant so I can manage the size of them and hopefully the skin won't get too over tough for adding to our pimms. These look like lemons and can get over textured skins if left for too long on the plant | |||

I got a bit fed up with them but I miss them I've got runner beans, french beans, courgettes, cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkins, sugar snap peas, spring onions, various salad leaves and lettuce, artichokes, soft fruit, figs, orchard fruits and grapes. | |||

Mr KCs family had a tortoise when we first got together. When he died (the tortoise), the vet estimated he was over 80yrs old. Turns out Mr KCs mum wasn't his first owner! He was a character " they do live a long time. Mine originates in the rain forest so he lives in a heated viv unless he's out in the greenhouse, tearing round the garden or terrorising the cat charging round the house. | |||

It's always humid in there as the amount of water I give them, but I always leave the window open to expel the moisture in the air, even at night. Remember to water them at the base not over the plant. They love tons of water. If leaves are looking yellow your not giving them enough. For those outside, maybe you could make a cloche type thing. Full sun, but shielded from the rain. Not much help, but hope you have a good harvest. | |||

"Sounds like blight, tomatoes will get it too unless they're the blight tolerant ones.. Ventilation is the key, they don't like too much humidity.. Fingers crossed you sort them, no one likes a soggy cucumber.. "Indeed, a soggy cucumber cannot be countenanced | |||
